Cada año el Festival Medieval d’Elx envuelve a la ciudad en la mística y los sonidos de tiempos remotos. Artistas internacionales ofrecen a través de la música, el teatro y actividades paralelas, una oportunidad excepcional de reencontrarse con el pasado.
Cerca de 130.000 personas han disfrutado de la XVI edición del Festival Medieval d´Elx
Esta mañana ha tenido lugar la tradicional rueda de prensa de balance del Festival Medieval d´Elx que este año ha finalizado su XVI edición con un nuevo éxito de participación de público en todas las actividades y actuaciones programadas.
Según ha afirmado el edil de Cultura, Pablo Ruz, “unas 130.000 personas han disfrutado de esta XVI edición por lo que ha sido impresionante la acogida por parte del público”. “Gracias a la calidad de los espectáculos programados el Festival Medieval d´Elx se ha convertido en un referente nacional e internacional traspasando las fronteras del interés cultural y turístico” ha añadido Ruz.
En este sentido, se han aportado los datos de la Oficina de Turismo. La recién finalizada edición del certamen ha supuesto un trasiego de 2.000 turistas por la sede turística ilicitana, de los cuales 700 han sido extranjeros y el resto nacionales. “Esta es la prueba de que el Festival Medieval contribuye en gran medida a impulsar el turismo local” ha comentado al respecto Ruz.
Por su parte, el director del Festival, Antoni Tordera, ha destacado la excepcional respuesta del público un año más. “Se ha conseguido alcanzar un 95% de ocupación del aforo en cifras totales lo que supone un auténtico récord” ha comentado Tordera.
El director ha resaltado además tres rasgos del certamen de este año. Por un lado el interés cultural suscitado con espectáculos tan significativos como el de El Brujo, Arcángel, Pasión y el de clausura. Un segundo rasgo sería el ecológico, “algo novedoso en un festival medieval” según explica Antoni Tordera. “El palmeral nos ha permitido una reflexión sobre el bosque abriéndose así las fronteras a otras dimensiones de la sociedad como la preocupación por el medio ambiente” ha agregado. El tercer y último rasgo de este año sería el solidario con espectáculos como “Un árbol, una mujer” o los planteados para el público más joven.
