20 junio 03The eighth Festival will take place from 18th to 26th of October
This is the first time that this Festival is celebrated in an annual way, therefore, it will not coincide with the Misteri d’Elx. However, this will not make the Festival less interesting, which has increased its concept covering also the Renaissance. Since few months ago, the Institut Municipal de Cultura and the Director of the Festival, the professor César Oliva are drawing up a complete programme that will be, at least, as good as previews ones.
Specialised cinema sessions, a course of the Compañía Nacional de Teatro, a concert in honour of the Misteri performed by the prestigious investigator Jordi Savall, one or two local productions…are closing a programme that will be completed after the summer. During the Festival, we will not miss urbans animations and the medieval market.
On the other hand, there will be a forum of experts on medieval themes that will analyse and define the contents of the Cientific Seminar, which will be carry out during the IX edition, coinciding to the performances of the Misteri in 2004.
